Abbie Kaufman

Abbie Kaufman was born and raised in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. Abbie entered the legal field in 1999 as a legal assistant. She decided to further her career and enrolled at Madison Area Technical College in the Paralegal program, obtaining her Paralegal Certificate in 2002.

Abbie has extensive experience in plaintiff’s personal injury cases. She plays a pivotal role with the firm’s clients when they are experiencing the pain and frustration that so often accompanies serious injuries. She is an extremely effective communicator and assists in all phases of our client’s cases. Abbie has an in-depth understanding of the process necessary to build a client’s file and assemble the necessary evidence to achieve successful outcomes. She first began working with Attorney Matthew DeVos in 2001 and since that time has sat side-by-side through jury trials, court hearings, depositions, mediations and client meetings.

Abbie resides in Baraboo, Wisconsin with her husband and two daughters. In addition to her legal career, Abbie also has a passion for dance. From lessons at an early age, to attending many conventions, to performing in The Nutcracker at the Madison Civic Center, she has been active and involved in dance throughout her entire life. Although obviously quite busy as a wife, mother of two daughters and full-time paralegal at DeVos Law Firm, LLC, Abbie still finds the time to teach dance classes part-time at a studio in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
